On the 21st of March2016, villagers from a remote village called Ambe , in Junnar Taluka of Pune District were examined and 25 patients having major cataract problems were selected and brought to Pune K K Hospital. These patients were then thoroughly examined for routine checkup for fitness to carry out Cataract operations. These patients stayed in overnight in hospital.On 22nd March early morning after breakfast they were taken in batches of 5 to be operated upon. After operations these patients were given a proper orientation on the Dos and Don't s to be followed post operation. each patient was given eye drops, a proper pair of dark glasses and medicines before they boarded the bus to return to their village.
